由於教學重點逐漸轉移以及產出須從單字、單詞進入語篇單位等原因，中高級以上的華語學習者時常有語音固化之現象。有鑒於此，無論在教學層面或學術領域中勢必得另尋他法提供學習者自我導正此問題之機會。 語言是個複雜的認知過程，雖然語言表現最終由發音器官體現，但過程中必然會涉及其他感官的運用。而本文欲從視覺機制著手，並以語篇為單位提供了兩種視覺提示，分別為「聲調輪廓提示」以及「詞彙邊界提示」，聲調輪廓提示指的是用線條的方式勾勒出四種聲調調型之輪廓，而本研究採用的詞彙邊界提示是以灰階白底輪替出現的方式呈現。實驗設計為了降低認知干擾，每位受試者會接觸到低於其語言程度的四篇文本，此四篇文本會輔以上述兩種不同的

視覺提示並加上無視覺提示與兩者皆添加的因子，藉此研究給予學習者視覺輔助後，能否提升其口語字音正確性、聲調正確性以及流利度之表現，另外了解視覺提示對細部語言成分如聲母、韻母、音節結構、變調與聲調組合等之影響亦為本研究待解的問題之一。 研究結果顯示雖然對於字音正確性的效果有待加強，但添加了視覺提示後能夠有效提升學習者在聲調正確率的表現，具有統計上的顯著性，其中又以「聲調輪廓提示」與「兩者皆有」的方式為優。且添加了視覺提示後「一」、「不」變調的正確率亦有顯著提升，對於以本調標註的三聲連讀變調非但不會形成干擾，甚至亦能有效提升受試者在此方面的表現，具有顯著性。不過原先為了協助流利度的「詞彙邊界提示」

卻會對聲調正確率產生負面影響。經討論後得出，視覺提示對於困難度較高的語言成分或結構具有更大的正面效益，進步幅度明顯提升。不過若從受試者產出的最佳表現來看，學習者熟悉的成分（如目標語中高頻出現的聲母）以及較符合簡易、自然語言習慣的單位（如無需圓展唇的韻母[ɤ]、[o]；以上揚調值為首的聲調組合）與視覺提示搭配後能得到最佳成果，簡言之視覺提示無論對於簡單或困難的語言成分皆有實效。 最後，結果指向視覺提示對於流利度表現並無顯著影響，因而本次研究尚無法證明多重提示的效果是否優於單一提示，但從實驗結果中仍可看出多重提示之潛力。藉由本實驗，教學現場可提供輔以視覺提示的材料，並針對實驗得出效果較差的成分進

行事前訓練，以期達到矯正中高級學習者語篇語音表現之目的。
