使用徑向基及適應性共振理論之複合式類神經網路於語音辨識

本論文研究設計一種結合徑向基類神經網路(Radial-Basis Function Neural Network, RBFNN)與適應性共振理論類神經網路(Adaptive Resonance Theory Neural Network, ARTNN)的複合式類神經網路(Hybrid Neural Networks, HNN)，並以此複合式類神經網路作為分類器(classifier)應用於特定文字(isolated word)語音辨識。研究分類器的特性，設計演算法以儲存和測試型樣。每一語音型樣透過演算法轉換為一組線性預估倒頻譜係數(Linear Prediction Cepstrum Coe
fficient, LPCC)，取得各語音型樣相對應的語音特徵係數。HNN的輸出層為簡化型ARTNN，用來處理倒頻譜係數的型樣向量，另一方面，在HNN的輸出層前加上RBFNN，處理特徵係數的群聚分類開關。基於解決穩定性與可朔性兩難問題的觀念，設計輸出層簡化型ARTNN，並針對型樣辨識、型樣儲存和擷取來設計演算法，同時也包含用於訓練分類器的輸出層調整權重中心裝置。而在輸出層之外，嵌入RBFNN當作群聚分類開關，隨著群聚分類開關的開啟，能使輸入型樣正確且有效的導引至最接近群聚中心相對應的ARTNN。模擬實驗由五位男性語者發音錄製數字0~9，共10位數字作為語音辨識型樣，探討複合式類神經網路分類器加

本研究之目的在探討「英語單字記憶術」之記憶原理與其在記憶國中階段英文生字的適用性。從過去文獻中發現，雖然單字的學習與記憶一直受到廣泛的研究，但多是證明或比較不同的單字學習策略教學對不同階段學習者之效果，或者是指出哪些單字學習策略常被某一族群學習者所使用，對於有系統的探討和整理其背後的記憶原理的研究卻是寥寥可數。因此，本研究首先藉由探討「英語單字記憶術」之相關記憶原理，以期幫助學生更有效率的記憶單字。另外，由於教師在英語教學中扮演關鍵的角色，教師的觀念與專業知識會影響其實際教學，因此探討國中英語教師對於單字記憶術在記憶國中生字的適用性之觀點亦有其必要性。 本研究所採用之方法，首先
進行文獻探討，依據習得一個單字所需要涵蓋的重要知識(the essential knowledge of a word)，選出七種常見的單字記憶術 (分類法、字首字根字尾法，字母拼讀法、諧音法、將單字放入情境中、歌謠唱誦法及字母策略)。其二、也探討單字學習與人類記憶的關係、記憶的形成與要素等領域之研究，並依此歸納整理出一套單字記憶原則，此套原則經由德懷術(Delphi survey)調查專家意見後，予以確立。而後，再進一步分析比較各種記憶術所運用到的相關記憶原理。最後，本研究亦設計一份問卷(單字檢核表)以了解國中教師對於單字記憶術在記憶國中生字的適用性之看法。 本研究主要發現如下：第一
、單字記憶術所涉及的記憶原理有十項，分別是專注(concentration)、與個人相關(personal relevance)、新舊經驗的連結(association)、運用多重感官及選擇學習偏好(multi-sensory & preferred modality)、情緒 (emotion) 、複誦和精緻化(rehearsal)、組織(organization)、意元集組(chunking)、產生視覺心象(visual images)及聽覺編碼(auditory encoding)，其中前五項記憶原則與七種記憶術皆有直接相關，而其他的五項則分別與一到三種記憶術相關。第二、從國中英語教師觀點
中發現：在七個記憶術中，字母拼讀法(phonics)、將單字放入情境中(put words into a new context)使用及形音義的歸納法(grouping)是被認為最適合記憶國中生字的，反之，諧音法(keyword)及字母法(letter strategy)則因需較複雜的認知處理而被認為最不適用。第三、分析國中英文教師所熟悉的單字記憶策略和常用的單字記憶策略有明顯相似的結果，顯示英語教師本身若對於單字記憶術的內涵知識不足，將無法引導他們的學生去使用這些有效的單字記憶方法。 依據上述結果，本研究建議：首先，國中英語教師除了需多鼓勵學生靈活使用不同單字記憶術之外，也應對單字記憶
術的記憶原理和記憶術的內涵有更深入的了解，以促進教學的效果。再者，建議英語教師除了告訴學生要記憶的內容，也要讓學生知道「如何」記住他們，掌握單字記憶術的相關記憶原理除了有助於提升記憶的功效之外並能應用於其他學科領域的學習。
