Encounters with Nature Spirits: Co-Creating with the Elemental Kingdom

為了解決Self talk example的問題,作者Crombie, R. Ogilvie 這樣論述:

A fascinating, first-hand account of the vast powers and true nature of the Elemental Kingdom - Reveals deep wisdom, eloquently shared through the author's encounters with the great God Pan and his elemental subjects - Offers a glimpse into the hidden layers of the natural world and the workings of

the elemental kingdom - Includes chapters by Mike Scott, David Spangler, Dorothy Maclean, and Brian Nobbs as well as beautiful illustrations by fine artist Elise Hurst, who perfectly captures the energy of the natural world and its subjects as we might perceive them - Paper with French flaps "To any

one who may have expressed a wish to see and talk to nature spirits . . . remember it took 63 years for my wish to be granted, so don't lose hope."Have you ever wished for something with your whole heart? As a child, R. Ogilvie Crombie (Roc) made a wish as he dropped a penny into a wishing well - he

asked to be able to see fairies and talk to them. In Encounters with Nature Spirits, we follow Roc's path as, many years later, he meets the faun Kurmos in the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh, discovers the realm of the elementals, and, eventually, meets the great god Pan himself. In his conversa

tions with Pan, elves, and other nature spirits Roc realizes that the elemental realm is vastly more powerful than our human kingdom and possesses an ability to create far beyond our human means. Through his experiences Roc becomes closely involved with the Findhorn Community in northeast Scotland w

here he meets further elementals who give him sound advice as to how the famous Findhorn gardens should be cared for in order to work in harmony with nature. Encounters with Nature Spirits is a reminder to us all of the importance of our relationship with the nature kingdom. Through his example, Roc

places emphasis on connecting and working in harmony with nature spirits. True co-creation with nature, working with rather than against the elemental kingdom, can bring about vital positive change to our endangered eco-system. The elementals are open to working with mankind--the question is, are w

e humans open to engaging with and respecting them again? Trained as a scientist in his early years, R. Ogilvie Crombie (Roc) (1899-1975) was a self-taught mythologist, psychologist, historian, and esotericist. A thespian at heart, he also displayed great interest in the fine arts, music, and thea

tre. Roc lived in and around Edinburgh and had a close connection to the Findhorn Community, Scotland.

✨OUR FLAWS, INSECURITIES, AND OUR JOURNEY TO SELF-LOVE✨

Hey guys,

This video is a long one so grab a cup of tea ? and we hope you enjoy this one. We talked mainly about our journey to self-love, our flaws and our insecurities. We do have our notes with us during our talk but we most of the time just talk whatever was in our heads and whatever feels right ? So our points will be all over the place. But still, we really hope you find value from this video~ ?

Plus, we know we mentioned a lot on the physical but it applies to every aspect of life too (ex. career, statue, skill, emotional state etc..) Physical was the easier example for us.

The Translatability of the Religious Dimension in Shakespeare from Page to Stage, from West to East: With Reference to the Merch

為了解決Self talk example的問題,作者Wong, Jenny/ Jasper, David (FRW) 這樣論述:

This interdisciplinary study traverses the disciplines of translation studies, hermeneutics, theater studies, and sociology. Under the ""power turn"" or ""political turn"" in translation studies, the omission and untranslatability of religious material are often seen as the product of censorship or

self-censorship. But the theology of each individual translating agent is often neglected as a contributing factor to such untranslatability. This book comprehensively traces the hermeneutical process of the translators as readers, and the situational process and semiotics of theater translation. To

gether these factors contribute to an image of translated literature that in turn influences the literature's reception. While translation theorists influenced by the current ""sociological turn"" view social factors as determining translation activities and strategies, this volume argues that the t

ranslator's or the dramatist's theology and religious values interact with the socio-cultural milieu to carve out a unique drama production. Often it is the religious values of the translating agents that determine the product, rather than social factors. Further, the translatability of religious di

scourse should be understood in a broader sense according to the seven dimensions proposed by Ninian Smart, rather than merely focusing on untranslatability as a result of semantic and linguistic differences. ""Few people have understood the human heart so well as Shakespeare. He understood our vola

tile frailty, that mixture of the comic and the tragic which elicits the greatest human acts. This is a brilliant, innovative study of intercultural stagecraft and the performability of such intimations of humanity. I cannot commend it too highly."" --Very Rev Professor Iain Torrance, Pro-Chancellor

of the University of Aberdeen, President Emeritus of Princeton Theological Seminary ""Taking Shakespeare in the Chinese context as an example, Jenny Wong's book eloquently argues that the omission or repression of religious terms and allusions in literary translation has more to do with difficultie

s in social, political, and cultural backgrounds than the usually empty talk about linguistic or conceptual untranslatability. This book makes a significant contribution to translation studies and comparative literature. It is a useful book for anyone interested in global Shakespeare, comparative st

udy of religion and literature, and translation and world literature."" --Zhang Longxi, Chair Professor of Comparative Literature and Translation at City University of Hong Kong Jenny Wong has taught translation and interpretation at universities in China, including at the Chinese University of Hong

Kong, at Hang Seng Management College in Hong Kong, at United International College in Zhuhai, and elsewhere. She is the founder of the Society for English Learning Through Biblical Literature, SELBL (www.selbl.org), a non-profit organization that promotes the cultural significance of the Bible amo
